Zencargo is a London-based, digital freight-forwarding startup. It enables customers worldwide to book, manage and keep track of their international freight, harnessing analytics to drive intelligent supply chain decisions on the cloud. The company is expanding rapidly with well over 300 employees already.
Kandidate teamed up with Zencargo after it had raised £30M in a Series B round led by Digital+ Partners with HV capital in May 2021. With new offices opening in Europe and Asia after second-round investment, the company rapidly needed at least to double its number of employees. The freight-forwarding industry took a major knock during the Covid-19 pandemic, contracting 8.7% in 2020 – only intensifying the demand for great talent. Then the global freight-forwarding sector rebounded with double-digit growth in H1 of 2021 alone. With consumer demand expected to keep shooting up over the next four years, the pressure to hire keeps mounting in step with market forces such as geopolitical changes.
